About Me:

I have been a primary school teacher for 3 years. I have experience of teaching mathematics in a range of year groups. I completed my NQT year in a Year 4 class in England and am currently teaching 1st class (Year 2) in Ireland. My teaching placements allowed me to gain experience teaching mathematics in Year 2 and Year 5. 

I found that teaching mathematics outside using practical activites and resources has always engaged the children and secondly always deepened their understanding. The children get an opportunity to solve maths problems in a real-life setting.

I created this website initially for Newly Qualified Teachers who want to plan active mathematical lessons outside the classroom. 

Activities are suitable for Junior Infants - Second Class (Ireland) 

and Reception - Year 2(England).  ​
